
In addition to announcing the news, the company said it is giving its customers thousands of free tickets to a Shakira concert in Bryant Park.
T-Mobile announced the first part of its uncarrier strategy in March, doing away with both long-term contracts and phone subsidies. Phase two, announced in July, involved the T-Mobile Jump program, which lets customers trade in their phone for a new one as often as twice per year by paying a $10 monthly fee.
CEO John Legere had promised a Part Three would come in the fall, and next week’s event will indeed mark the launch of Uncarrier 3.0, T-Mobile said.
