Motorola is rumoured to be developing a lower-priced version of the Moto X, the Moto DVX.
Motorola's rumoured low-cost device, the Moto DVX, will reportedly be a cheaper version of the Moto X handset.
In an article by The Verge following the discovery of photos of the new device on Weibo, the new device will apparently have four interchangeable backplates.
In the image above a green and pink colour palette are just two of the colours chosen.
Motorola's DVX will reportedly be Android-based and be available for low-cost carriers.
PhoneArena reported last week that the smartphone is rumoured to arrive on shelves at Republic Wireless as soon as next month.
The DVX will run on similar capabilities to Moto X but at a low-cost for emerging markets.
The Verge reports that the phone's specs are unknown apart from the "reported lack of LTE support" and that the design polish on the backplates looks cheaper than the Moto X.
Motorola's partnershi with Google saw the release of the Moto X featuring a 4.7-inch, 720p AMOLED display, 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 10MP camera, 2,200 mAh battery starting at a price of $199 on a two-year contract.
